Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Vidso app for iOS collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Vidso is operated by Sels AI Inc. ("Vidso", "we", "us").
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you create an account we receive your email address and name. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the basic profile information that service shares. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever see Apple's private relay address.
- Content you provide. The prompts you write, the photos and images you upload, and the videos and images Vidso generates from them.
- Purchase information. Purchases are made in the app through your Apple ID and are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status, but we never receive or store your card number or payment details.
- Usage and diagnostic data. Basic logs of feature usage, plus standard technical data such as device type, app version, and identifiers needed to operate the app. If you enable notifications, we store a push token so we can tell you when a generation finishes.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- operate the app and generate the videos and images you request;
- process purchases and apply the correct credits to your account;
- provide support and respond to your messages;
- keep the app safe, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
- improve reliability and quality; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the private content you generate to train AI models of our own.
AI processing and third-party AI providers
Generating media is the core of Vidso. To create what you ask for, we share the prompts you write, the photos and videos you upload, and any reference images with third-party AI providers, including OpenAI, Google Gemini, and fal.ai. These providers generate or transform the content and return the result, which is saved to your Library.
Your inputs are shared only as needed to produce your output. We do not use your uploaded content or generated output to train AI models of our own, and we contractually require these providers to protect your data with safeguards at least as protective as those described in this policy and not to use your content to train their models other than as needed to produce your result. AI outputs can contain artifacts or inaccuracies and depend in part on the inputs you provide.
Face data and likeness
Many Vidso effects animate or transform a face in a photo you upload, so the photos you provide may contain your face or the face of someone you have permission to use.
- What we collect. We process the photos and videos you choose to upload. We do not create, derive, or store biometric identifiers or "faceprints," and we do not use face data to identify or recognize you.
- How it is used. Face-containing photos are used solely to generate the specific output you request. We do not use them for identification, advertising, or to train our own models.
- Who it is shared with and where it is stored. To generate your output, your photo is sent to the third-party AI providers named above (OpenAI, Google Gemini, and fal.ai), which process it to create your result and return it. Your uploads and generated media are stored by our infrastructure providers on servers in the United States.
- How long it is kept. Your uploaded photos and generated media stay in your account until you delete them or delete your account, at which point we remove them from storage. The AI providers process your image only as needed to produce your result and do not retain it for their own purposes.
Service providers
We rely on trusted third parties to deliver Vidso. Each only receives the data needed to perform its function, and each is contractually required to provide a level of data protection at least equal to the one described in this policy. These include the third-party AI providers that generate and transform media (OpenAI, Google Gemini, and fal.ai), infrastructure providers that host the app and store your media, Apple for sign-in and in-app purchases, and the services used to deliver push notifications.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications in the iOS app, we send you a push when a generation completes or fails. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device Settings, and we deactivate tokens that are no longer valid.
Data retention
Media you generate stays in your account until you delete it or close your account. We keep transactional and billing records for as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
Your rights and choices
- Delete content. You can delete individual generations from your Library at any time.
- Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and its data directly in the app (Settings, then Delete account). Deleting your account removes your account record and associated media, and we remove the underlying files from storage. Some records may be retained where the law requires.
- Access and correction. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or export your personal information. Email us to make a request.
- Marketing. We do not send marketing email without your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@vidso.ai.
Children
Vidso is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may use Vidso only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
Vidso is operated from the United States, and your information is processed there and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using Vidso you understand your information may be transferred outside your country of residence.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email and update the date above.
